Goodies at Coupons.com

Coupons.com has a few new goodies -- $.75/1 on Pepperidge Farm Gold Fish -- which will make them nearly free after doubling if you can catch them on sale. Nestle and Wonka candy coupons for $1.00/2 on Easter candy are also up.

Nestle seems to be dropping the ball on coupons lately -- we used to get $1.00/1 denominations on most of their printable candy coupons, but no more. In addition to Coupons.com, you can usually pick up some candy coupons at the Nestle Celebration Corner, but they are still showing VALENTINE'S DAY! Get with it Nestle! I do check the Celebration Corner from time to time to see if there's anything new and I'm hopeful that with the new month starting tomorrow, we'll see some action this week.

ShopRite Deals 2/28 - 3/6

I continue to be indebted to Living Rich with Coupons for her AMAZING ShopRite lists. This amount of work must take her hours. You can check out the whole list over here.

Heluva Good Dips at $.29, Borden Singles at $.49, and Wise Snacks at $.49 (all with the appropriate coupons) are just the beginning.

My personal list also includes the four day specials which don't start until Wednesday. Campbell's Select Harvest Soup for $.50 after coupon is a great deal. Plus the grapes at $.99/lb, 80% Lean Ground Beef at $1.69/lb, and ShopRite shredded cheese at $.99 each are all great deals.

ShopRite is definitely the place to be this week. I will warn you that to get the absolute best deals you will need to invest a little time with the deal list I've referenced above, the ShopRite flyer, and the contents of your coupon stash. Dollar Days are continuing so that means lots of deals are of the "buy X items, receive $X back (as a coupon), and also receive a free reusable shopping bag." Deals like that are also ONE of each type per transaction. You can do multiple DIFFERENT deals in the same order, but if you want two of the same deal, you have to do multiple transactions -- if you don't you only get one money back coupon no matter how much you buy.

Staples This Week

Slightly above the yawn category, we have Staples. Didn't see any really amazing freebies -- or any freebies at all, but just as I was about to give up, I happened upon page 9 of their flyer -- you can look over here -- where I found a bunch of store coupons. There's a nice looking pair of scissors that's regularly $6.29, on sale for $1.00 with coupon. And there's another coupon for 30% off on all ballpoint, rollerball pens, gel pens, and fine writing. Not bad at all. If you don't have the flyer, Staples tends to be good about having a stack of them at the front of the store.

Small nag: if you haven't turned in any ink cartridges this month but have a few kicking around the house, this is the last day to get them in on February's tally -- turn them in today, and you'll see your credit in 2-3 weeks. Wait until tomorrow and you're looking at mid to late April.

The Yawns of the Week

This may be a new feature on the blog.

I have to say that I can't see any reason to head to CVS this week unless you have Extra Bucks to roll. Boring week. If you are just starting out and haven't done much, you may find a few things to begin your stockpile, but otherwise, you can spend your time more wisely elsewhere.

I do have Extra Bucks to roll -- so I'm going today rather than lose $10. Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies are on sale for $1.88 -- a good deal if your SS last week had the $1/1 coupon. Nexxus is spend $20, receive $10 in Extra Bucks -- good if you use it and need it, but there are no coupons available so it's not a killer deal.

Hip2Save is always perky, so I'll send you over there to look if you're interested.

And who knows? Things may improve as the week goes on. Sometimes I notice that if a flyer seems a little dull, putting off shopping until later in the week becomes the better option. After a flyer has been "shopped" for a few days, smart people figure out more deals and post them -- sometimes salvaging a boring week. I'll be keeping my eye out for more CVS deals and I'll post them if I find them.

My second yawn of the week is Stop and Shop. ShopRite is soooooo much better at the moment. The nice lady at Wicked Cool Deals has the blow by blow. Personally, I'm in for the $.99/lb grapes and that's about it.

Upcoming Catalina Offers

The nice lady at Coupons, Deals, and More did a great post on upcoming national Catalina deals. (For those who are new, "Catalina" is the name of those coupon-spitting machines at the check-out in many stores and the paper that comes out is referred to as a "cat".) We won't see all of these deals at our stores, but we will most likely see a lot of them -- and my guess is that Stop and Shop will be the store that sticks to this schedule the closest. Stores are NOT required to run these deals, but this is the list that they'll be picking from, so if you like these products, start organizing your coupons and expect that some store in your area will most likely have these deals on these dates.

Disney's Ponyo -- $10 Off Coupon

Ponyo is coming out on Tuesday -- go here to print your $10/1 coupon. Target and Best Buy will both have the DVD/Blu-Ray combo (the version that goes with the coupon) for $25.

I keep thinking that someone will do better -- usually that someone is Toys R Us -- but not a peep in their weekly flyer. My advice for now is to print the coupon if you think you're at all interested -- it could run out of prints -- and then stay tuned for further updates.

I also found these interesting links for upcoming movie coupons. They aren't active now -- we will have to wait until the weekend before the movie is released -- but here they are in "preview mode". I will do posts on each of them at the appropriate time. If you have someone small who is in love with all things Disney Princess, I would strongly suggest that you mark your calendar for the Princess and the Frog -- that's going to be a huge release.

(and yes, I know my html is showing, but I don't have time to fix it at the moment!)

Kohl's Savings Pass 15-20% Off Through 2/28

This is a link to the printable pass for in-store use. The 20% off kicks in on purchases over $100.

Coldwater Creek 25% Off Purchase Printable

This is good until March 2nd.

Borders 25% Off One Item Through 3/1

I was really hoping for better this weekend, but -- Oh well -- here it is.

I will say that in the interests of saving time and energy, if I'm after a popular book that's stocked at Target or Walmart, I tend to head there if the Border's coupon is 25% off or less. The Target and Walmart prices tend to be in the vicinity of 25% off and I can usually do a few other deals on the same trip.

Target Deals

First, the best resources I know of for Target deals:

Hip2Save's Target page.

The whole blog at Totally Target.

The Slickdeals.net Target Thread.

Target prices do vary by region so don't be surprised if you your store is charging slightly more or less for items that you read about in this or other blogs.

I'm actually planning a Target run in the morning, and this is my list:

Kraft cheese -- shreds and blocks are reportedly on TPC for $2.00. Use the $1.00/1 Target Kraft Cheese coupon and the $1.00/2 Kraft Cheese mfr coupon from the 1/24 SS to get them for $.50 each! Warning - the $1.00/2 coupons expire on Sunday!

Kellogg's/Keebler Snacks - Buy 5, Get a $5.00 Target Gift Card. Good through 3/13.

This is the premier deal at the moment and I seem to see more and more permutations every time I go online. The basic idea is that you have to buy EITHER 5 Kellogg's items or 5 Keebler items -- you can't mix and match even though it looks like you should be able to -- for some reason it requires 5 of one "brand" or the other to prompt for the giftcard at checkout.

Special K Fruit Crisps -- $2.54
Buy 5, Use 5 of the $1.00/1 from the 2/21 RP
If you have them -- also use 2 of the $1.00/2 Target Q from the 1/10 RP

If you have all of those coupons, you would only pay $.70 TOTAL for all 5 boxes after giftcard. Realistically, you may very well not have the perfect set of coupons. Some areas -- including SE CT - didn't receive the Target coupon. Other areas did receive it, but only got $.75/1 coupons last weekend instead of $1.00/1.

Sunshine 100 Calorie Right Bites -- $2.34
Use 5 of the $1.00/1 coupons from the 1/10 RP
Pay $1.95 for ALL FIVE boxes after giftcard.

Hip2Save and Totally Target get deeper into the nitty gritty of this deal -- click on the links above to explore further. Or simply head to Target. This is one of those deals that is going to be a little different for everyone depending on what your store carries and regional price fluctuations.

If you are still clutching some of the Nabisco Crackers $1.00/1 coupons from the 1/24 SS, then you will find lots of goodies at Target. It combines nicely with the Target website $1/2 printables for Nabisco Crackers and for Ritz Crackers (2 different coupons).

Ritz Crackers: $2.50 Buy 2 boxes, use two of the $1.00/1 mfr coupons and one of the Target $1.00/2 coupons and pay $1.00/box.

Wheat Thins and Triscuits -- on TPC for $1.93. Same deal as with the Ritz crackers. Buy 2, use 2 of the $1.00/1 mfr coupons and one of the Target $1.00/2 Nabisco cracker coupons. Final price will be only $.43/box!

Finally getting out of the cracker aisle, I'm planning on stocking up on Gillette Body Wash. There was a $4.00/2 Gillette Body Wash coupon in last weekend's P&G and Target is currently stocking a small bottle (about 8 oz I think) for only $1.99. This is not a sale price -- that's the regular pricde -- so you can do this deal any day until the coupon expires! So FREE body wash!

The Gillette Body Wash will actually ring up for $3.98 for both bottles -- slightly less than the coupon. That's just fine according to the official Target coupon policy, but there have been lots of reports lately of clueless Target staff refusing to adjust coupons down. So -- as a preventative measure, go over here and print the Target coupon policy. It's just one sheet, but it will save you many headaches if you get a snitty cashier.

There are many other goodies to be had at the moment at Target, so do explore the resources above. As for me, my eyes are about to cross and midnight is almost here, so I'll wind this up for now.

As always, Good Luck and Good Hunting!

ShopRite This Week

It's Wednesday, so although the ShopRite sale starts on Sunday, this is always my "first" day at the sale. Why? Because ShopRite almost always does four day specials that don't start until Wednesday, and I really like to keep it down to one trip a week!

I just hit ShopRite tonight and it was a very satisfying trip. This week's sale is better than average.

Oikos Yogurt, Solo Plates and Cups, Scotties Tissues, New York Texas Toast, and Coffee Mate Creamer can all be had FREE with coupons. Wise snacks and Butterball ground turkey are almost free, and the list of just plain "good deals" is really something.

I'm not one of those dedicated types who can spend two hours doing a play by play list of everything in the flyer, but -- luckily for us all -- the lovely lady at Living Rich with Coupons is one of those organized people who can manage just such a list. I strongly suggest that you check out her ShopRite post over here.

I have only two additions to her list -- Daffodil bunches are on sale for $1.49 each and Entenmann's baked goods are on sale 2/$5.00.

For locals, I would add that the floral department at the ShopRite in New London is MUCH better than the floral department in Norwich.

Cheap Fun on Sunday at Mohegan Sun

Disclaimer: Strictly for the over-21 crowd. I'm not endorsing Mohegan Sun or gambling or taking any responsibility whatsoever.

That said, I was at Mohegan Sun last weekend and noticed a neat little flyer announcing a "Free Slot Play Frenzy, Play $10, Get $20". On this coming Sunday, from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm registered Player's Club members who play $10 will receive an additional $20 worth of slot play for free. The flyer has a list of instructions -- quite straightforward -- and was all over the casino, so if you go just grab one.

In addition to gambling on the cheap, you can also dine on the cheap. Here's a frugal tip for casino buffets everywhere. Arrive at the buffet just as breakfast is ending but before lunch starts. At Mohegan Sun the switchover is at 11:00 am. So you pay $10.85 right before 11:00 am and once you're in, you can stay right through the changeover to lunch -- which would have cost you $16.98!

Nothing like a little frugal fun in Southeastern CT!

Coach 20% Off Good Through 2/28

This seems to be the morning for handbags! Go here to print.

Kate Spade Sample Sale Online

This is something you don't see everyday!

$3.00/1 Tag Books Printable

This one has a short expiration date -- it arrived this morning and expires on 2/28. However, you can print as many as you like since it's just a plain page -- no Bricks, no SmartSource, etc...

JC Penney Printables $15/$75 and $10/$50

These are good through 2/25.

Target Kraft Coupons

Target Kraft Coupons link.

Target currently has $20 in Kraft coupons available on their website. No guarantees as to whether they will be available after the current week, so print by Saturday evening if you want to be sure to get them -- the expiration date should be towards the end of March, so you'll have plenty of time to use them.

I'll be getting some Target deals up later today. It seems like we haven't had a stellar Target week in ages, but there are some really good deals at the moment!

Note: Target has gotten stingy with their coupons -- no more Target coupon generators for multiple coupons! But there IS a way around this calamity -- Target now uses the e-centives coupon software to limit prints. But the limit is NOT per computer, it's per USER PROFILE. So if you make more than one profile, you can print more than one set. Sneaky, huh? This tends to work with most but not all e-centives coupons, not just for Target.

Whole Foods Week of 2/23

The new Whole Foods flyer is up -- click here to view.

Not huge week -- although that depends on what you're after.

Method Free & Clear Laundry Detergent is $7.99 which combines nicely with the $4/1 coupon I listed earlier.

The "cheapie" take out entree of the week is Macaroni and Cheese -- normally $9.99, on sale for $5.99. We've had their Spaghetti and Meatballs from this line and for $5.99 it made a nice dinner so I'll be taking the plunge on this one.

And that's it for really screaming deals as far as I can see. If I find more I will add them to this post.

I generally make it a habit to go to Whole Foods on Fridays if at all possible. It's a madhouse on the weekend, and from Monday to Thursday there's just one flyer in force, but on Friday you get the extra Weekend Flyer specials (they don't post these online, so it's generally a surprise when I get to the store) as well as something close to the mid-week calm.

Do look for the Whole Deal flyers in store. They contain several sheets of Whole Foods-only coupons.

Kohl's Clearance Online

I was just reading about Kohl's having Men's Arrow Windowpane Polo Shirts on sale for only $4.40 -- regularly $44.00 on Living Rich with Coupons. So I headed over there to take a peek. Not too much left in those shirts, but --- WOW! -- what a ton of clearance in all categories. I've already hit the free shipping minimum of $75 in just the men's department!

Word will get round fast and they'll get cleaned out, so go early for best selection. If you have a Kohl's card, you can also use code FIFTEENMVC for an additional 15% off. And everyone can use the code SHIPNSAVE for free shipping on orders over $75.

In these sorts of situations, my mantra is "when in doubt, buy it." Kohl's is wonderful about taking back online items at any of their stores -- I've done a lot of returns over the years and it's quick and painless.

Walgreens Free 8"x10" Print on Thursday

They haven't released the code yet, but they will -- it's part of Walgreens 7 Days of Photo Deals promotion. The others haven't been all that amazing -- but free is always good!

Go over here on Thursday to get the code.

You can do this once per account -- or you can print off paper coupons and place your order at an actual Walgreens location. However, to use the paper coupon you CANNOT upload from home -- you have to actually place the order in store.

This is a nice way to send a free picture to far away relatives -- just make an account for them, upload, "pay" with the code, and select a Walgreens near them for pick-up. Free and easy!

Free Beechnut Toddler Kit

No guarantees on what's in them, but rumor has it that you will at least receive some nice coupons and possibly a free product!

Sign up over here.

Also for the baby crowd, take a look at Dealseeking Moms "Treats for Baby Tuesday" post.

Method Laundry $4.00/1 Printable

Go over here -- and quickly!

There have been lots of Method sales lately. I've started using their liquid soap and their spray cleaner and I'm so pleased with them that I think I'm going to try this product as well. The 25 load bottle is on sale for $7.99 at Target this week, but with the number of Method sales popping up all over I can't guarantee that you won't find a better deal somewhere else.

Obligatory End of Month Nag

Just a quick reminder, the end of the month is upon us. Print out whatever you might want from Coupons.com, Smartsource.com, and RedPlum.com before the coupons change for the new month. Flip through your coupon stash for anything that's expiring on 2/28 -- and there are quite a few.

My end of the month to-do list also includes dropping off my empty ink cartridges at Staples for $3.00 in Staples credit each. For those of you who don't do this yet, you might want to try it. All you have to do is sign up for a Staples Rewards card -- like a supermarket card -- and then you can turn in up to 10 cartridges each month for $3.00 in store credit each. If you spend $1000 or more a year at Staples then they bump you to Staples Premier and you can trade in up to 20 cartridges a month. I mostly use my credit to buy K-cups for our Keurig brewer and to "buy" the items that are free or almost free after the Staples Easy Rebate. Even if you buy the item with Staples Rewards credit, you can still apply for the rebate and receive it in REAL money. Not a bad deal at all.

Borders Coupon -- 30% Off One Item Through 2/25

Print Borders mid-week offering here.

Oriental Trading 20% Off Coupon Code

Use key code: BIRTHDAY2010

This is good through 4/15/2010. I usually don't post Oriental Trading codes, but they have been soooooo thin on the ground lately -- and usually tied to buying a big order -- that I thought I would post this one because I can't be the only mother/teacher/etc... who needs to stock up on a few things for the Spring holidays.

If you've never ordered from them, I will warn you that they basically sell crap -- but the kind of delightful crap that kids go kooky over. Little trinkets that you buy by the dozen or more that make a nice addition to goody bags, Easter baskets, party favors, etc...

Jo-Ann Crafts 40% Off One Item Through 3/6

Go here to print.

AC Moore Coupons This Week

Go over here to print.

There's the usual 40% off one regular priced item that's good through Saturday and a ONE DAY ONLY bonus 50% off one item coupon that's good TODAY, FEBRUARY 23rd ONLY.

If you have the paper version of the flyer from the Sunday paper, then you can use the flyer coupons at Michael's and/or Jo-Ann Fabrics and the printables at AC Moore. All three stores take eachothers flyer coupons, but not the printable versions.

CVS Huggies Wipes Deal

Just read about this on Dealseeking Mom, but I'm guessing it's all over by now.

CVS has their smaller packages of Huggies wipes on sale for $2.50 this week -- but someone goofed and the big 216 count packages that normally sell for $7.99 are also ringing up for $2.50 which is quite a steal!

On top of that, the CVS scanner/coupon machine is being generous this week. No guarantees of course, but there are reports of Huggies wipes $2.00/1 coupons spitting out.

And, for the first time in forever, I can personally testify that I received a $5 off a $15 purchase coupon from the machine at the Montville CVS yesterday. Coupons do vary, so you have to scan to see what you get. Of course, if you haven't registered your card online at CVS.com then you won't get any of the better coupons -- so do that BEFORE you shop if you haven't already done so.

Let me repeat again -- this deal is a pricing error and it could be fixed at any time -- so if you're interested, go soon!

Gorton's Deal at Stop and Shop

I finally made it over to Stop and Shop this afternoon to do the Gorton's deal. Stop and Shop has the whole Gorton's line half off this week -- through Thursday, February 25th -- and they are offering $4.00 off your order if you purchase $10.00 or more worth of Gorton's products.

Last weekend's SmartSource insert had a $.40/1 Gorton's item coupon. Combining the coupons with the rest of the deal makes for some amazing prices.

My personal experience was a little rocky, but ultimately very worthwhile. I bought 7 of the Gorton's Grilled Salmon Fillets which are on sale for $1.64. I also had 7 of the $.40/1 coupons. So I paid $5.88. And DID NOT get the $4.00 off my order automatically. However, I trooped over to the customer service desk and they forked over the $4.00 so it all worked out. Since Stop and Shop wrote the deal as "$10.00 WORTH" of product, that indicates value BEFORe coupons but it appears that someone in IT didn't get the message. However, salmon fillets for $.27/box made the hassle worthwhile. I leave it to you to decide whether you want to do the same.

Murphy's Law with Addendums

If anything can go wrong, it will. Addendums:

  • If you have herniated discs in you back, do not try to dig out your mailbox.

  • If you do dig out the mailbox and mess up your back, do NOT go to the Backus Health Center in Gales Ferry unless you like LOTS of frustration, NO help, and a BIG bill.

  • DO head straight to Pequot Health Center in Groton -- they might smirk a little at your stupidity, but they know their stuff.

And therein lies the reason why I've been absent from the deal-o-sphere for the past 10 days. I'm better and I think I can manage a bit of typing without irritating anything, so I'm going to try to get back on track with the latest deals. And, in the spirit of "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" I've added a new feature to the blog -- a continuously updated list of some of the best deal blogs -- so if I manage to do something this stupid again, at least I'll still be able to point you in the direction of some of the best deals news.

Boston Market $5 Off a $10 Purchase Through 2/17

Go here to print.

Unfortunately, for locals the nearest Boston Market is in Glastonbury. However, if you are thinking of heading North for the Whole Foods sale, then this could make a nice combination.

Whole Foods 2/10-2/16

I'm not even going to begin to try to say that Whole Foods is a cheap place to buy groceries. Their prices on many things border on the insane -- however, if you take a good look at their flyers, you can often find a few things that are really quite a good deal -- especially when you consider the quality of their offerings.

Here's the flyer for this week.

They have Oikos yogurt for $1.00 each. Pair that with the $1.00/1 coupon from the 1/3 SmartSource and they're free. Or go over here to print the coupon. Hard to beat free!

Chef's Own Tuna Noodle Casserole $5.99 -- usually $9.99. I bought the spaghetti and meatballs from this line last week -- and while I wouldn't have paid $9.99 for it, for $5.99 it made a cheap and easy dinner.

Navel Oranges -- these are really much better than what can be had in the local supermarkets. I usually hold my breath and fork over the big money -- but this week they are $.99/lb instead of $1.99/lb.

Double Dozen Roses -- Only $19.99! This is a really good deal. I would check the roses for freshness first, but my guess is that they will be as good and probably better than other grocery store roses and most places are charging at least $20 for only one dozen.

If you do go, look for "The Whole Deal" flyer -- it has several pages of coupons that are specific to Whole Foods. And if you go on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday make sure to look for the additional weekend deal flyer -- it's tiny -- just about a half page and they don't reveal the contents online (BOO! Whole Foods) but it's often worthwhile.

(PS: For those locals who will be trekking to the Whole Foods in Glastonbury, might I suggest a stop at the Walgreens just up the street? It's REALLY nice!)

Sunday Coupon Preview

You can go over here to see what's coming this Sunday, 2/14. It's only one insert, and if this list is accurate I won't be bothering to stock up on papers -- unless there's something on the list that you use regularly, this won't be a very good coupon weekend -- but that's pretty normal for a holiday.

AC Moore 40% Off One Item Coupon 2/11 - 2/13

In honor of all the snow, AC Moore has released a Cabin Fever coupon.

Walgreens Friends & Family Day -- 15% or 20% Off FRIDAY ONLY Plus Free Photo Collage

Go over here to print.

This is a nice deal. If you click over to the Friends and Family ad, you can print the coupon for 15% off most items and 20% off Walgreens own items, or you can find out how to text Walgreens for a coupon that you can just show the cashier on your phone -- AND -- you can get a free 8"X10" photo collage.

Word of warning -- I can't absolutely swear this in blood, but this isn't the first time Walgreens has had this type of sale and there have been reports in the past that if you are doing a deal that requires a minimum dollar amount purchase to get a Register Reward then you will have to make sure that you meet the minimum AFTER the 15% is subtracted. Unfortunately, this is only a one day sale so by the time reports start coming in on this particular sale, it will be almost too late to get the information out. So just be careful. This does not apply to deals where you are buying a certain number of items to get a Register Reward.

As for the photo collage -- they are very nice and you can make it online for pick-up in store. You can also make accounts for far away relatives -- think grandparents! -- and then have the collage sent to the Walgreens of your choice anywhere in the country. Quick, easy, and FREE Valentine's day present!

Lord and Taylor 20% Off Savings Pass Through 2/16

Go here to print.

For locals, the nearest Lord & Taylor is West Farms Mall in Farmington. Yep, it's a haul. But I do have to say that once you're there, the Lord & Taylor has MUCH improved their offerings plus the Macy's in that mall is soooooooo much better than what we have in Waterford.

If You Are Headed to the Outlets This Weekend

We are headed into President's Day weekend, so it's a good time for outlet shopping -- particularly if you can hit them today or tomorrow when the sale prices are on but the weekend crowds haven't arrived quite yet.

This is what's on tap at the Clinton Crossing Outlets in Clinton, CT

Tanger Outlets in Westbrook, CT

(You can also use links at each of these sites to find the sales at Tanger and Chelsea Premium Outlets all over the country.)

Gillette Fusion/Venus/Olay Body Wash Deals at Target

There's one big, big deal at Target this week -- and if you want it, I would suggest that you go today because they have a distressing tendency not to restock on deals like this:

Gillette Fusion or Venus Embrace Razors, $6.99
Buy TWO and Get a $5.00 Target Gift Card

P&G Insert Coupons:

$4.00 Off One Gillette Fusion Razor
$2.00 Off One Venus Razor
Buy One Venus Razor Get One Olay Body Wash Free

You can work this multiple ways:

Buy 2 Gillette Fusion Razors, use two of the $4.00/1 coupons, Get back the $5.00 gift card and you will be out of pocket only $.49 EACH!

Or buy 2 Venus Embrace Razors and 2 Olay Body Washes, use 2 of the $2.00/1 Venus coupons and 2 of the BOGO Venus Razor/Olay Body Wash coupons, Get back the $5.00 gift card, and you'll end up with two razors and two body washes for only $4.98.

Or you can buy one of each razor and get one body wash and be out of pocket $2.98.

Target also lets you do these sorts of deals multiple times in one transaction so you could buy four razors and get back two of the $5.00 gift cards and only have to check out once.

If you are after these razors this deal is better and cheaper than tracking them down at CVS or Walgreens -- the only issue may be stock availability. Target will give you a raincheck on the selling price of these items, but they will not honor the $5.00 gift card deal on a raincheck so you have to do this deal this week for it to work properly. Go early today for best selection. If you can't do that, then shop fairly early in the day during the week -- Target tends to restock overnight, although there are no guarantees on deals like this.

What to Expect in the Coupon Inserts on Sunday.

I wish I had the time or patience to type all of these out myself, but with four inserts coming, I really don't, so head over here to Coupons, Deals, and More where the dedicated lady has listed them all for your perusal.

The usual disclaimers apply -- we will get most of the coupons listed, but the denominations may vary depending on where you live. As always, some coupons may be strictly regional. If you see a coupon that you like that you don't get in your paper, head over to eBay or somewhere like The Coupon Clippers to buy some. I'm noticing lots of coupons on this list that probably will hit SE CT in different denominations -- the $.60/1 on this list will most likely become a $1.00/2 in our papers -- that being the case, this may be a particularly good week to buy some coupons that will double at Stop and Shop and ShopRite.

$.75/1 Izze Product

Go over here to print.

They do sell these as singles, so take it to a store that doubles and you should get a freebie.

Thank you to PrintableCouponsandDeals.com for this goodie! And if you are looking to increase your stash of printables, I can highly recommend this blog -- it's all coupons, all the time and often has the latest and greatest before anyone else.

Pillsbury $.95/1 Refrigerated Sweet Rolls Coupon

Go over here to print.

You can get two of these per computer and they double nicely at many grocery stores. This combines nicely with the Pillsbury deal at Stop and Shop that I mentioned over here.

Boston Market Coupons Good Through March 2nd.

Go over here to print.

These include $1.00/1 Individual Meal, $2.00 off a $10.00 purchase, and $4.00 off a $20.00 purchase.

Eggs Coupon -- Buy One Get One Free

If you sign up as a fan of the Incredible Edible Egg on Facebook you will receive a coupon for Buy One Get One Free One Dozen Eggs.

From the site:

Hey egg fans! 30,000 coupons will be available for download via the “Free Eggs” tab this Friday, 2/5. The “buy-one get-one free” coupon is good for any brand of eggs up to $1.50 at the grocery store in your hometown. The coupon goes live at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT so set your egg timers

Go over here to get this deal.

A little freaked out by the way Facebook tells all of your "friends" every time you fan any product -- and really do you want the whole world to know what toilet paper you like just to get a coupon? -- here's a solution -- make an additional Facebook account with no friends and no identifying info just for these types of deals.

Don't have an Annie's Homegrown UPC code of your own? I will share -- White Cheddar Bunnies UPC Code: 013562302284.

I'm personally most interested in the last two coupons listed -- the Honest Tea bottle will be free or almost free after doubling and the Honest Tea Kids 8 Count carton will be at least reasonably priced -- and that is usually a waaaaaay expensive product in the world of juice boxes!

New Homemade Simple Coupon Books from P&G

These are great -- they have coupons that simply aren't available anywhere else -- they make deals work when nothing else will do!

Hip2Save did a great post which I will quote because I really can't come up with anything better:

Surprisingly, I was also able to request an additional booklet from this link, this link, this link, and this link! That’s a total of five $30 coupon booklets! Yay!

Catching Up

I'm back from an unplanned break in blogging. Nothing like a "blog troll" to ruin your day. But that's the internet -- wild, woolly, and sometimes a little creepy. Anyway, on with the show.

Since I've missed a week and the current sales are only on for a few more days I'm just going to hit the highlights of this week's sales before plunging into next week's goodies. Actually, as week's go to miss, this probably wasn't a bad one -- it hasn't been full of rocking deals. Things will be heating up soon however -- there are four coupon inserts including a P&G due out this weekend. Plus with the Super Bowl, Valentine's Day, and President's Weekend all coming up it should be a busy few weeks in the deal world.
